Omigod.
He makes us laugh.
Every night his bedtime routine is the same. Same 3 stories, in the same order. Kiss night night and "See you in the mownee!"
Then we leave and shut his door. He immediately turns his big light on plays for about half an hour and has a poop. Then he'll climb into bed and go to sleep.
Sean and I go in each night and change his bum (yes - he's sound asleep and never wakes up) and turn his light off. The past 2 nights we've gone in and found this, last night (Saturday night):

And tonight:

It's a wizard hat that Sean brought back from Vegas a few weeks ago. Cuyler thinks it's a Santa hat and wears it saying "Happy Christmas!"
Tonight he put it on immediately after his bath...I guess he forgot to take it off!

(Update: No chicken pox for Cam...yet...Cuyler is 100% and going back to school tomorrow!)

Just a quick update!

Cuyler has had chicken pox since last Friday - poor baby boy! He was a misery for the entire week last week. He had a nap last Friday (he hasn't napped in well over a year!) and woke up vomitting. Then the spots came. He's been pretty good. Sean cut his nails right away, but he didn't really scratch. His most affected area is his diaper area. And his biggest spots are on his face. But he's been good and now we just wait for Cam to get them. And the answer to the question everybody asks - No, they were not immunized against chicken pox, we wanted them to get them "naturally" and let the virus run it's course.
He got a fair dose of it and luckily he's not completely covered, but he's got enough for me to feel confident he won't get them again!

I unrelated news - Cam's a genius.
As I was bathing Cuyler (see above photo), I asked Cam to get his jammies on and hop into my bed to watch some tv. I found this when I brought Cuy out of the tub:

He, instead, turned on the computer, opened a browser and found his way to Nick Jr. All by himself. When I asked him how he got to Nick jr he said he typed in the letters and then very matter-of-factly proceeded to spell out the website address.

I thought at first that I should have scolded him for not doing as he was told, but he impressed me so much that I let him be until I got Cuyler dressed.

Five Steps To Fun
By: Cam, Cuyler & Olivia

Step One - Find mud puddle and fill Ikea toy bin with mud

Step Two - Transfer mud from one bucket into a clean bucket

Step Three - Add dandelions and grass to mud and call it "Garden Soup"

Step Four - Decide that the mud is better off on the ground and make a whole new mud puddle

Step Five - Get down and get dirty (ok...dirtiER)

Wow...this is becoming a bad habit with me...not posting for so long in between.
Things have been really really good with the boys. Cuy's still chatting away. I'm hearing more functional words and phrases. Sometimes I can't tell which boy said something if I'm upstairs or in a different room from them. Usually just a single word or short phrase. I love it!!

For the second month in a row, I forgot his speech appt. That tells me how important it is to me that he go (read: not very). I feel badly, but really - they just tell me to do things that we already do.

I got a couple of really cute (but perhaps not the most flattering) pics of Sean and the boys. Sleeping in both, of course.

And this is one of the many funny things Cuyler does all the time. This is how we found him in the backyard yesterday. He can't yet put his own shoes on, so he grabbed the easiest pair to slip his feet into (Daddys ball hockey shoes). I think it's great problem solving!

I had a wonderful Mothers Day! Yesterday Sean dug out my garden for me then went out and bought me some flowers and plants for the garden.
This morning I awoke to Cuyler hopping (literally) into my bed saying "Happy Mu-yers Day Mommy!" he came right up and nuzzled into my face.
Then Cam and Daddy came up with my tray of breakfast. I ate it in bed watching Coronation Street and sharing it with Cam.
The we were off to my sisters for a lunch. The after that we went to Seans parents for dinner. A busy day! But really really great. I just hear Cuylers little voice over and over saying "Happy Mu-yers day Mommy!" It really was a happy day for me.

I hope all my fellow Mommies had amazing days as well!

Holy moly. It's been over a week since I blogged.
It's because the weather is so great lately, we're spending all our time outside. And once the kids are in bed, I just like to chill in front of the tube and not think.
Which is good. Lately the kids have been just a joy. Probably because they're going to bed so early - the fresh air just knocks them out. Cuyler's language is coming along great and he continues to expand his vocabulary. He's asking questions now like "Where's Cam?" or "Where's hat?"
Anytime any of our neighbours pull in the driveway, he runs up and says "HI Janice!" or "HI Colin!" He'll point out whose vehicle is in a driveway: "Mommy's van!" "Grampa's car"
As soon as I open the garage door, he hops into his stroller and says "Belt on. Go to park!"

Sean went to Vegas on Sunday morning for work (insert rolling eyes here). He called from the airplane right before they took off and told us to watch in the backyard an maybe we'd see his plane. So Cam and I went out back with our waffles. And waited.

Then we heard a plane coming in the distance. And waited some more. THEN SAW IT!

Can you see it?

And Cam started waving to the sky and shouting "Bye Daddy! Have a great trip in Las Vegas! We'll miss you!"
It was the sweetest thing really.
And Sean was lovely enough to bring me home a new Coach handbag. Unfortunately it was the not the one I requested (the one I want is brown, not black). He bought me this one in brown. It is a really lovely bag. The only thing is, it's so small the only thing that fits is my wallet. No cell phone. Not even a lipgloss.
So I called the Coach shop closest to us and they will exchange it for me even though it was purchased in the States. That just means I get to go shopping at Coach now!
And simmer down about the cost...it's an anniversary present.
