A quick update:
Eva's hemangioma has ulcerated and we're treating it with antibiotic ointment and a dressing. We have a nurse coming in to assist with the cleaning and dressing change.
We are reallllly hoping that this means it's regressing, although it could just mean that it's growing so rapidly that it broke through the skin.
Cuyler is TOILET TRAINED!!!
Last Tuesday I bought some Shrek and Spongebob underwear. He, of course, wanted nothing to do with them.
Last Wednesday morning I refused to put a diaper on him. He asked a few times and I just said "Nope. No more diapers."
He held his pee all day until 3pm then had an accident.
He held it again until his diaper at bedtime.
Thursday he had 2 accidents at school. And that was that. Hasn't had one since. He even goes by himself without having to be asked or reminded. We spent a few hours at the fair on Sunday and he pee'd in the public washrooms. And at WalMart yesterday - he pee'd in the toilet there as well!
I can't even tell you how proud I am of him! I think this is one of the biggest milestones we've hit and the sense of relief I feel is huge. The school had no problems with him being in diapers when he starts kindergarten, but I did.
I know he's pretty proud of himself when he uses the toilet. He walks out and says "Goood! Great job!"
Cam is still as inquisitive as ever.
This morning, out of nowhere, he asked "Do some dogs have autism?"
I told him that I had no idea. That I didn't think so. He called Sean at work and asked him.
Seans reply was "No. But some dogs help people with autism."
"Can we get one?"
"No."
"Do some cats help people with autism?"
"No. And we're not getting a cat."
