Just a coupla things.
I wanted to put this in here because it makes me smile when I remember it.
Cam asked yesterday: "Today's the twenty wunth, right?"
Me: "Yep. It's the twenty FIRST."
Cam: "No - it's twenty wunth."
Me: "Well...when there's a 1 in the number, it's "st"..."
I showed him the calendar and the 1's, the 21's and the 31's and explained all that.
But he wasn't having any if it.
"No. It's WUNTH. I changed it." And he walked away.
And this morning, Sean brought Cuyler into our bed around 7. Cam was at Nana's for a sleepover, so it was just the 3 of us.
I was still sleeping (on my belly) and Cuy got into our bed and laid on my back with his arm around my sides. Then he leaned on Sean. He was singing some song from one of his shows. Then I mumbled all sleepily "Boy I'd like a kiss." He leaned over, put his hand on my cheek and gave me a smooch right on the lips. I said "Ohhhh...I love you!" He replied "I love you Mommy."
That's when I realized that those four words are some parents dream.
I know people whose only wish is to hear their childs voice.
After we hung out in bed for awhile I got out of bed to pee. Cuyler says "Mommy underwear off!" (I had a t-shirt and underwear on). I went into the bathroom and he said "Mommy shower."
I asked him what he wanted for breakfast. He casually answered "A waffle."
Every now and then it hits me how lucky we are. Again - things that are overlooked in typical kids can make an enormous impact on me. It really set the tone of my day. I felt light and just simply happy. I kept thinking of those small moments from this morning throughout the day.
I have a ton of new pics, but can't post from the laptop.
