Reminder (sometimes I need one) :
he sure is doing great for a little boy who shouldn't have made it.
~he knows all his colours - even black, white & pink (those ones can be tricky)
~he can randomly (as in out of order) recognize/label every letter in the alphabet. he does confuse Y for V and vice versa - they're pretty similar
~he can randomly recognize/label up to 13 and can count up to about 25
~he can take off his pants, socks and shirt independently
~he consistently eats with a fork/spoon (at school only - bugger)
~he spontaneously greets everyone at the door with eye contact and a beautiful smile
~he understands and complies when we give him basic instructions (not happening a few months ago)
~he loves going to school
~he loves sitting with cam at their table colouring. he doesn't enjoy colouring. he enjoys sitting at the table with cam.
~he loves his bath
~he is the easiest child to put to bed
~he is beginning to understand "toileting"
~he wants to be with the other kids 99% of the time. the other 1% is his "down" time - who doesn't need down time??
~he loves the mall. when we ask where he wants to go he says "mall!". and it's fun taking him as opposed to the hell it was a few months ago - that's my boy!!
~he will ask for his leap pad. when i ask "which game?" he walks away and says "afabet game" and plunks on the couch
~when daddy and cam are outside playing hockey, he says "cuyler outside hockey"
~we have a new thing - we squeeze each other really tight and rub our cheeks back and forth and say to each other "i love you SOOOOOOOO much!" over and over
~when daddy asked for a kiss tonight, he got one - on the lips!!
~when i asked for a kiss tonight, i got one - on the lips!
the fact that i could add the many many more wonderful little, minute, minor things he is doing is enough to satisfy me and i'll stop here. that last one sure did make me happy.
(none of the above are the least bit small, minor or minute to us)

Hi Christine!
I Love seeing all the gains Cuyler is making. He is a wonderful, bright, and easy going child. I think it is the little everyday changes/interactions that make all the special family memories. It is such a gift to be parents and watch our children grow and change each day. This was a great blog to read! Hope to see you guys soon. Andrea
They're HUGE. It's amazing how far our kids have come in the past year. Gives us lots of hope for what awaits them in the future, no?
Sal
