We started our holidays today with a SPLASH!! It was smokin hot out, so we decided that it would be the best day to go to the beach. We took them to the beach for the morning, had a few swims, ate lunch and headed home. We forgot the camera so I can't even show how eager he was to wear his life jacket - but he was!
We came home, had a rest and then spent the afternoon between our backyard and the nextdoor neighbours. They had their slip n'slide out and as soon as Cuy saw it he rushed over there. He had never been on one before. I was amazed at how it took him no time to hop on and zoom down. I mean Z-O-O-M! Check it out:





There's someting about seeing him with a group of kids. Just being 3 and doing what kids do, WITH other kids. As I said in my previous post, he would not have done this last year. He probably would have stayed in our yard as all the kids played next door. Now all he wants to do is be where the action is.




As I type this, it is 7:50pm and both kids are out cold. Time to go hang out on the porch. We'd be on the deck but the Junebugs are nasty this time if year. They're only in the backyard, thank god! They have hard shells and are the stupiest bugs. They just fly into walls, windows...your head. And because their shells are hard, they sting a bit when they hit you. Hopefully in another week they'll be gone and we get our nightime hangout back.
